Android Auto doesn’t work on Samsung Galaxy phones
Android Auto suddenly stopped working or never connects when you use a Samsung Galaxy phone on your AT/NT1100.
❓ Cause
This issue often appears right after a monthly Samsung security patch update. It is a known issue on Samsung devices and usually affects the Android Auto app installation.
✅ Method 1 – Quick reset
-
Step 1
Go to Settings → Apps → Android Auto and tap Force stop. -
Step 2
Still in Android Auto, tap Storage and then Clear data. Confirm when asked. -
Step 3
Go back to the Android Auto app info screen and tap Disable or Force disable, if available. -
Step 4
Open the Google Play Store, search for Android Auto, tap Uninstall updates, then Enable, if needed, and finally Update to install the latest version.
🧩 Method 2 – Revert Android Auto to the factory version
If Method 1 doesn’t solve the problem, you can follow these steps to completely remove the updates and go back to the factory version of Android Auto:
-
Step 1
Open the phone Settings and tap Apps. -
Step 2
Tap See all apps. -
Step 3
Scroll down, find and tap Android Auto to open the App info screen. -
Step 4
On the top right corner, tap the three dots ⋮ menu and choose Uninstall updates. -
Step 5
A message will appear asking to replace the app with the factory version. Tap OK to confirm.
📶 Method 3 – Change the dongle delayed start mode
If Android Auto still does not start correctly on your AT/NT1100, change the dongle’s Delayed start setting to Mode 1.
If Mode 1 does not solve the issue, repeat the same steps and change it to Mode 2.
1️⃣ First, connect your phone to the dongle Wi-Fi
-
Step 1
Open your phone Wi-Fi settings and select the dongle network. It usually appears as 3DMP-Explorer-XXXX. -
Step 2
Enter the Wi-Fi password: 88888888. -
Step 3
Tap Connect. -
Step 4
If Android shows a warning saying that the network has no internet access, tap the notification. -
Step 5
When asked “Stay connected?”, tap Yes.

2️⃣ Then, change Delayed start to Mode 1
-
Step 6
Open your phone browser and enter 192.168.1.101 in the address bar. -
Step 7
In the dongle settings page, find Delayed start. It is usually set to Default. -
Step 8
Tap Delayed start, select Mode 1, and tap OK. -
Step 9
Confirm that Delayed start now shows Mode 1. -
Step 10
After confirming that Mode 1 is active, remove the dongle from the stable 5V power source and insert it again so the changes are saved.
