Factory reset

Select your phone type and follow the corresponding procedure to restore the dongle to its original factory settings.

Android instructions

Follow the steps below using an Android phone.

Important: Perform this procedure using an independent 5V USB power source. Do not use the Honda Africa Twin or NT1100 USB port.

Connect the dongle to a power source

Connect the 3DMP-Explorer directly to a 5V USB power source, such as a phone charger or a suitable car USB port.

Do not use a computer USB port for this procedure.

Connect to the dongle's Wi-Fi network

Open the Wi-Fi settings and connect using the following details.

Wi-Fi network 3DMP-Explorer-****
Password 88888888
Android may display “No internet access”. This is normal. Remain connected to the network.

Restore the factory settings

Open your browser and enter: 192.168.1.101

Select “Restore factory settings” and confirm with “OK”.

Wait approximately 3 seconds. The dongle will restart automatically.

Forget the previous Wi-Fi connection

Return to the Wi-Fi settings and locate 3DMP-Explorer-****.

Press and hold the network for approximately 1 second, then select “Forget”.

The dongle has been restored to its factory settings. You can now complete the initial setup again.

iPhone instructions

Follow the steps below using an iPhone.

Important: Perform this procedure using an independent 5V USB power source. Do not use the Honda Africa Twin or NT1100 USB port.

Connect the dongle to a power source

Connect the 3DMP-Explorer directly to an independent 5V USB power source, such as a phone charger or a suitable car USB port.

Do not use a computer USB port for this procedure.

Connect the iPhone to the dongle

Open Settings → Wi-Fi and select 3DMP-Explorer-****.

Enter the password 88888888.

Restore the factory settings

While the iPhone remains connected to the 3DMP-Explorer Wi-Fi network, open the browser and enter: 192.168.1.101

Select “Restore factory settings” and confirm by selecting “OK”.

Wait approximately 3 seconds. The dongle will restart automatically.

Forget the previous Wi-Fi connection

After the dongle has restarted, return to Settings → Wi-Fi.

Tap the blue information icon ⓘ located on the right-hand side of the 3DMP-Explorer-**** network.

Select “Forget This Network” and confirm by selecting “Forget”.

You must tap the blue ⓘ icon first. Selecting only the network name will not display the option to remove the saved connection.
